It's Hot Club of Lincoln with gypsy jazz this Friday 24th, then the Hooleys return on Friday 31st. Saturday 1st June is the first Saturday of the month and that means Reggae Night.

Terry and Selena left last October but are still in Lincoln, enjoying a drink as fellow customers from time to time. The Legend that is Terry served the pub for ten years.

Pete returned in December after a three year break to continue the Tap and Spile tradition. Rik and Ryan are also back and Suzi with partner Dean lives in and joins the team full time.

Lincoln’s Tap and Spile is a proper town tavern on Hungate, just off the top of the High Street before the climb up Steep Hill.

The Tap remains true to its roots with live music scheduled every Friday night,  some Saturdays, and occasional weeknights. Check out our Live Music Dates page! 

Once a month we have a Reggae night on the first Saturday.  On a Sunday, local musicians are invited to congregate for a jam session.   

The legendary Music Quiz on the second Wednesday of each month is hosted by the renowned Rik Bell. Beer tokens can be won as well as prizes.  The pub is also the ‘home' of circular chess.

The customer base is very diverse across all age and occupation ranges.  The Tap welcomes everyone except those who don't! 

The constantly changing range of six to eight well-kept cask conditioned ales includes many guests from local microbreweries and independents as well as the big names. All Cask Marque accredited for quality.  We've been featured in Camra's Good Beer Guide since 2006 and were recommended by the Independent last year.

We have a heated shelter for smokers in the beer garden, currently being refurbished. 

As the big chains and government continue to destroy the British pub tradition, the Tap and Spile just gets better.
